I can't decide if i think the length is quite right, but I am very happy about the rest of this. She seemed nervous about her category, and very emotional when given the chance to speak after the film won; I hope this whole awards experience is joyous and validating for her.

This didn't need the coat, which looked like a literal drag to have -- and which she ditched inside and for the rest of the night. She looks wonderful in this, and the necklace perfectly echoes the plunge in the bodice. Very smart styling!
Zendaya in custom Louis Vuitton
Zendaya -- and Law -- were evoking Joyce Bryant, known as The Bronze Blonde Bombshell and The Black Marilyn Monroe, which is the impetus for the specific hair and the silhouette of the base dress. It's not quite like anything Bryant wore but the inspiration is clear from looking at pictures (Law posted this one, and I'm glad this doesn't mimic that dress). Law and Zendaya are good at shining a spotlight on Black legends. The dress itself isn't my favorite cut, but the color and overall effect really work; the necklace is MAJOR.
I did like the dress better when I thought it all flowed together thusly.

I am pretty sure this is an orange-red, and not a red-red. Let's go with it. I am ALL IN for how bold they both went.
Ariana Grande in vintage Givenchy
She and her baby bangs had a very Audrey Hepburn weekend, so of course she capped it in vintage Givenchy. But it's drab in pictures and overall fails to launch for me. I'm glad it's not pink, but I hate the stark white gloves with it -- I don't care what the cosplay is -- and I just... don't know what's going on here. I think returning to her darker hair and eyebrow color would have helped.

She went with a more standard parade of sequins during her hosting gig, and I wish she'd worn one of them outside, too. This makes her look shiny and taupe from head to toe.

I think Glen's shirt is brown, which is what landed him here. Also those lenses.

She was one of the presenters whose patter was not great, but ALSO was hurt by the fact that the Prompter seemed really glitchy and half the people were left hanging at one time or another. At least she looked good! This might be better than anything she wore during her actual awards run.
