Golden Globes 2026: Brown

I'm so over the red carpet lighting being SO varied -- this looks almost olive here, but in every other shot AND on TV, it's clearly brown. This is fine, but I would have scrapped the pockets. I know, I'm the only person who hates them, but I think the temptation to USE them like this is often too great and I don't think it photographs well.

I realized late that the shell of this dress seems to be brown, rather than all black. I truly do not like this on her. It's giving Mary in Pride and Prejudice: just mad awkward and like she's about to blurt out something that will upset her mother.

He didn't wear his sunnies the whole time, but somehow they completed the look for me. He often dresses VERY wackily; this has character but is also slick. Two thumbs up.

I don't like dresses that are designed to look like a person is bursting out of them. I DO like textured suits. So this slide comes out even.

Owen Cooper

I had nowhere else to put this, so let's assume it's pale khaki (as opposed to... grey?) and call it brown-adjacent. This is giving Early Chalamet to me, and I kind of wish Chalamet would rediscover that.

He looks fantastic. And I fear he's gonna get robbed six ways from Sunday this season, even though I also can't complain about Chalamet winning, but I fear Michael B. Jordan is becoming Amy Adams.

See what I mean about the lighting? This is cockamamie; he looks completely different. However, this photo is in here so we can all pay tribute to his lovely mother.
