Unlike almost everything Angelina wears EVER, this is tailored within an inch of its life. She finally looks like she's Angelina Freaking Jolie: high drama, high glamour, and that aura of knowing she's turning it out. But mostly I am just amazed she went with something that sleek.

By contrast, as much as it's nice to see Natalie back on the red carpet, she looks like she just sat on an end table.

As accessories go, Brad and his cane look very Charles Dickens. He'd have a very Dickensian character name, too, one of those that's apt and evocative, like Mr. Snaggletuft, or Jeeves Piddlecoif.

However, Benjamin Millepied's suit almost looks OVER tailored, like if he turns around, we'll see one of those clips in the back that they use at Old Navy to make you think the clothes fit better than they actually do.

I'm also not sure I love the hot pink satin. In the final analysis I think I prefer Angie's dress, because whereas Natalie is just sort of there in some clothes, Angelina is wearing the HELL out of hers. FINALLY.

The dresses themselves aren't a match, but still, if I were Natalie Portman I would watch my back in case a cane gets thrust at it.
