I'm doing this out of order, a bit; I don't know if this is Stella McCartney. It's NOT the dress she wore on the main red carpet. This is from an afterparty, and I bet she hoisted that thing high ALL NIGHT. I would. I wish this worked as an actual outfit. It's looks more like the glamorous slip or shapewear you put on underneath the gown. Maybe it IS, and then she just decided it was more comfortable.

THIS is the Stella. And I actually really love the clean sophistication of it on her -- it would be so easy to go outlandish when you're Cookie Lyon -- and I'm intrigued by this phase of Stella's where she's trying to make classy stuff that isn't terrible. I'm not sure this is AS well-made as it could be? But Taraji herself is flawless and that is taking it along way. A bracelet or three would have sealed the deal.

Taraji is having a McCartney moment. She wore this to a BET event, and it's not as successful, I don't think. It's too snug and too lingerie-inspired (and derivative in that sense?). BRACELETS, Taraji. Bracelets would have helped. Or so I will keep saying until everyone starts considering them again.
