In case you were wondering if Claire Danes could believably play the role of a rich hippie-dippy crackpot who lives in Topanga Canyon and spends all day making hideous, careful pottery:

YEP.

The thing is, of course, that this dress actually has all the bits and bobs to make something really fabulous, I think -- it's kind of more of an Unfug for me. It would always be goofy and overdone and a little crazy, but it could have been all of that and ALSO wonderful. For me, I feel like you swap out the entire bodice for something else (maybe strapless, maybe simple), and then we might be in business. Your turn.
