This is definitely striking; I just think it really suffers from how overexposed she's been, thanks to the timing of Dragon Tattoo premiering all over the Earth in the last three weeks. Most of it, I think I like, but the bottom feels like my Christmas tree skirt. Which I bought at Target.

And of course, the obligatory chunky ponytail. Has she ever worn her hair down over the last month? It's clearly long enough, but she could cut it into a little Clara Bow bob if she wanted. Assuming she wants. The makeup is good, though -- her eyes leap out at you.

That, however, seems like the wrong eye makeup. As for the dress, I almost like it, but the ruffle basically means her boobs have a monobrow.

Overall, I feel like I am numb to opinions about her anymore because the clothes and the interviews and whatnot have blurred the lines so much between who is Rooney and who is Lisbeth that I wonder when we'll ever really know, and I don't even know what to say anymore. Sometimes it looks like this is natural to her and sometimes it still looks like a costume. Maybe it's both.

I didn't get to this earlier because of a case of Rooney Fatigue. It's not her fault. She's just doing her job, promoting her movie, probably not getting a whole lot of sleep. But all my opinions of her outfits start to run together after a while. I could roll them all in one of those lottery machines and then pick a few out at random and it would make as much sense as anything. In fact, I pasted a bunch of our old entries into a Word Cloud generator, and the cluster of the most common words feels pretty evergreen: "Rooney dress bangs thing intentional complaining dance-off gym somehow."
