This dress makes her look eighteen feet tall. With a fabric like that, I don't think Prada really HAD to do much more than cut it correctly.

Rainey here is Andie Macdowell's daughter, and was Miss Golden Globe on this night. Her brocade fabric is interesting, but the dress is yet another one of those strapless ones that I fear hits too low on the torso for comfort. (In fact, there were a couple pictures of her tugging it up.) That said, for her first-ever awards show AND one at which she was already guaranteed to stand out because of how Miss Golden Globe is always a story, there's something really cool and brave about her refusing to do something safe and basic, like white or beige or glitter or black. Or red. She wasn't afraid to give herself a little extra nudge. Props, kid.

She wore this for the actual ceremony, which is almost the same cut. It's not bad but I prefer the other -- but what I actually love about this photo is the look on her face as Mama Andie nudges her way into the front of the photo. Like, "Okay, Mom, WE SEE YOU. YOU DON'T LOOK OLD. GOD."
