Taylor is in a lovely, romantic Jenny Packham, with the perfect lip for it -- the ladies in yellow on this night really did nail it -- and so it's a home run. As for the other ladies, I couldn't get a credit on Jaime King's dress. It LOOKS like some of those Dolce & Gabbana dresses people have been wearing lately (beginning with Emily Blunt), but in kind of a diluted knock-off way. Or that Designer Mind Meld thing where sometimes two similar concepts come down the runway in the same season. It's fine, but it's not the most interesting thing she's ever worn -- I don't think of her as being that fussy. And Lorde... well. I assume it's Narciso, because...
... she wore the EXACT same cropped shirt but in black on the red carpet. I guess the InStyle party is a white bra kind of bash? Or did she bring three in different colors rolled up in her coat pockets, just in case something BONKERS went down like the a/c getting turned off in the Beverly Hilton and everyone bathing in their own perspiration and WHAT HO LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.
Anyway: This is all very Lorde and it's fine and everything but I swear to God T.Swift is going to get her into a pencil skirt someday.
This is EXTREMELY chilly. It's the dress version of a desolate poem immortalizing a lady who died in winter and left her lover a priceless vase.
Selena didn't do the red carpet with Taylor, but they're famous maybe-current and possibly-former BFFs, and were at least socializing. (I suspect Swifty does not approve of the Bieber shenanigans and that their devotion to one another is no more.) ANYHOO: She looks nice enough. The cleav is a bit Kardashian, but then again, they didn't exactly invent nor patent the neckline-plunge. I think what's mostly Kim about it to me is that it doesn't quite HANDLE her cleavage correctly. It's all blousy and strange on the sides. Unless her nipples began to repel each there like magnets with the same polarity, I don't think there needs to be a big point quite so far in either direction.
And including Selena gives me leeway to use this photo, which: How do THESE people know each other?
"Okay, you're men, and one of you is named Justin. Look at this. When your ex texts you a picture of someone else's boobs, and then sends you a picture of his junk with a frowny face and the words 'sad potato,' like, what does it MEAN? Is it like performance art or should I sleep with him?"
