Also, SOMEBODY was in a good mood. Considering he'd just gotten Oscar-snubbed, either Ben had a hot tip that he was going to win this one, or he just decided to start pre-gaming in the limo to cope with his grief.

This is another one that fit perfectly, and looked great on the carpet (I could swear it had dark red aspects to it, but those aren't showing up in the pictures, so maybe I hallucinated). There's nothing wrong with it at all. But I'm starting to feel like Sofia Vergara just picks these things out in her sleep. She never looks bad, but does she ever look exciting or daring? I'm sure we'd have choice words if she did, but come on, that's fun, right, Sofia? Right?

This iteration of the trend is so baggy and fussy and kind of wrinkly -- I don't think it's as fabulously caftanically flowy as she may have wanted it to be, especially when she stands this way. Great color, though.

And GREAT company, too. I love you, Phil Dunphy. I wonder if Ty Burrell dyes his hair. It's neither here nor there; I just can't remember if it has always been so lushly black before.

Why is this not working for me? It's young; she's young. Maybe it's that I feel like this fabric should have no sleeves and be on a nine-year old (Quvenzhane Wallis, I am looking at you). Or maybe it's the headband. Somehow the whole enterprise makes me want to sit down and take an Advil.

And, pointing. I love that the younger dudes are having fun with getting dressed but still looking classy and not going full Bieber with high tops and saggy crotches (although to be fair, even Bieber puts on a suit for these things). Separately, mark my words: ONE of these children will be performing magic somewhere, someday.

[Golden Globes Fugs and Fabs: The Empty-Handed Modern Family CastI'm not saying it was the wrong decision -- Modern Family hasn't been as strong -- but more that these guys must have started to feel like The Sopranos of comedy, where all they have to do is show up and people would throw golden things at them. I do hope that someday Sofia Vergara wins one, though, because that acceptance speech is going to be amazing.
