First of all, her makeup was SO GOOD last night. THIS is how you do natural and neutral without looking washed out or bland. She looks GREAT.

And, for my money, is dress is 90% on target. SOMETHING about it makes her look slightly as it's weighing her down at the neck? Like, it's just a wee bit too heavy for her. But that's a tiny nitpick. By and large, this is lovely on her.

I also thought her speech -- in which she thanked the author of Room first, and promised to write thank you notes to everyone -- was DELIGHTFUL, and basically everything she did last night pleased me. I really hope you win the Oscar, Brie Larson.

I actually also like this. It's very Charming Schoolmarm. (She could also play the sister of fellow Globe winner Maura Tierney, right?)

All that, and I think she's literally wearing a camisole under this and not just going Bras Ahoy. Bless.
