Do we think this would've worked better if it were a mini -- like, if we chopped it right where the froof stops and the train begins?

Or does it actually work as one graceful piece?

What about a brave color? I might not actually dislike this color on her as much as I first thought, though... Or what if we chopped off the eruption and left it as a slinky gown with a slit? Would that have been gorgeous or too generic for words? I mean, not that anything transcends words on this Web site. If we have them, we will use them ALL, fifty times over, to exhaustion.

I do wish she weren't QUITE so monochrome, though -- a smoky eye, or a dramatic lip, might have perked up the overall styling. As it stands, when I saw this, she was one in a parade of ladies in nude gowns who went similarly minimalist on the face.

This oddity is from a BAFTA luncheon the day before. I might not have minded, if it didn't look like a torn throw-pillow -- detritus from a catfight in a royal drawing room somewhere.
Further, can we just talk about how much stuff happened in the runup to the Globes? People's Choice, Critics' Choice, AFI awards, some W event, the BAFTA luncheon... could that not be spread out? Do you want these people to be COMATOSE by the time the Oscars come?

I have no idea what's happening here. It's a nightie. I guess I just wanted to remind myself that even if baby pink seems sort of unspired, at least it's an actual dress.
