I also like to imagine them side by side in front of the mirror, practicing their best Blue Steel and then giving each other feedback. The couple that preens together... um. Leans together. I don't know. I'm not in Kanye mode today.

I didn't dislike this as much as Jessica did -- I actually think, ALL HAIL, it fits her really nicely and it's very romantic. In fact, I might even RATHER like it. But it's also the kind of thing that's perhaps a tad overblown given that this is the only time we saw her all night, and something about the skirting is... broadening, although at least it's in a way where you know clearly that it's the gown and not her. I think I'd have liked it better if it were redrawn as a column, figure-hugging and sleek, and the gold went all the way down the skirt instead of just sort of... making a crotch vee and then dissipating.

However, I would take ten of the other dress, with mustard stains on the boobs, over this one. Those satin panels are torpedoing her. If ever you doubted that satin hates people and wants them to suffer, then let this sway you to my side. If the entire dress were the other fabric, then it would look fantastic on Michelle Pfeiffer when she gives her children away at the altar someday, and passable on a twenty-something girl who wants to be age-ambiguous for reasons I don't understand. But the satin... no.
