Did you know? She and Josh Sussman from Glee got married last year. (This is untrue.) (As far as I know.) (I actually kind of hope it IS true.) (But I suspect Josh is just a mega-fan of The Help).

Okay, now we can really look at the dress. I think this is a slam dunk. It's VERY Awards Show-y, but...she's at an awards show, and God knows that if you're going to win a major award, you're probably wise to choose a dress that's going to look timeless in photos forty years from now and not a swan dress. It's also CRAZY flattering and super classy, and the fit is great. Gold stars all around.

This party was officially called, "Vanity Fair & Fisker Automotive Toast Dreamworks Pictures Golden Globes Best Drama Nominations The Help And War Horse." How did they even fit that on the invitation? What else does one wear to a magazine/automotive cocktail party than a wrap dress, though? DVF is right: they go EVERYWHERE. (And this one is GREAT on her.)

How many rando awards shows WERE THERE this weekend, whilst I was recuperating from the plague? This isn't going to light your hair on fire with its amazingness, but she looks nice, and MAN, she's good at using ruching/draping to create a flattering silhouette. (Sometimes these words just pop out of me like I'm working at a fashion magazine for six seconds.)

See? Another wrap dress, another cute look. Not over the top, and definitely not very DIRECTIONAL or super fashion-y, but just....pretty. Appropriate. Classic. Contrary to what some people may think, "appropriate" is not a dirty word.
