At first I really thought this was just another photo of someone being confronted with the awesome power of Amy Adams's chest. And then I realized she's pulling on her cape to talk to Lupita Nyong'o, wearer of the OTHER flaming hot cape, as if to throw water on the cape-related rage inferno revenge drama that I had written in my own mind. Sigh.

If I were Amy Adams, I would hustle those Americans for as long as time allows, if you get my drift. This is wonderful on her. It accentuates her tiny waist, life-defying cleavage (seriously, I guess one never finds out how much power one's boobs truly have until they are tested, but damned if I have the courage to test mine), and great shoulders. Her undo was also perfection -- the only non-twee braided hairdo I have ever seen, possibly, and I am only hedging that because I lack a functional memory. My only wish might be, as ever, that her lips were a TAD bolder to play off the dress. Not CRAZY red, but a touch more. Still, this whole thing is so fabulous on her that it's hard to mind.

The back is lovely, though, and from the side it's also glamorous. Her stylist may have set the bar too high -- and what a delicious problem to have. My own bar is usually just lying on the floor.

I like the metallic shoes and the blue belt, but I'm not sure any of the three pieces in here are talking to each other in the same language. Then again, who is even going to remember she wore this? Punt away, Adams. You earned it.

I just wanted to bring this full-circle. They seem very pleasant with each other, but then again, they ARE both talented and nominated actresses, so maybe it's a front and our rage inferno can still happen. I just want a cape-related Hollywood feud. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK.
