In half the photos, Emma's eye makeup looks a hair too heavy, as if she can't keep her eyes open -- but really, that's a small nit to pick on an otherwise nice dress. I love the mix of colors, the subtle flash of leg, and the fact that she went with a really unusual accessory.

I am referring, of course, to the disembodied arm she brought as her date.
No, I jut had to include this photo because it made me laugh. It's like she's getting the hook, when in fact it's probably just some poor handler who was trying to get her 15 seconds with Seacrest before she had to take her seat.

I like this -- I wonder if she/her stylist paired it with the Lanvin dress, or if it was all part of it from the get-go. It elevates it, for sure, kind of a biker-cool edge. I would maybe join her gang. Even if it makes me confront my fear of motorcycles, thanks to Sweet Valley High, and that time boring Todd Wilkins tried to be interesting with his motorcycle and then he crashed it and put Elizabeth into a coma. Of course, she woke up more fun, but also sort of slutty. Still. Don't get on motorcycles or you will go into personality comas, and don't do drugs or else your heart will explode. Those are the messages Francine Pascal sent me.

Over the weekend, Emma trotted out this. I... don't like it. I think it's supposed to be interesting, with the peach and the beige and the sparkles...

... but it's just sort of confusing me, and I don't think the cut or the colors are flattering on her. And when you can't flatter that body and that girl, you need a vacation.
