First of all, this lipstick is completely right for this look. Gorgeous. And, as I said on Twitter, her bob is the platonic ideal of a bob for me. I long for that hair on my head, but the problem with being seduced by a cute bob is that it's so easy to forget that you're not also getting Michelle Dockery's face along with the haircut. Do I wish this dress were in a color? It's Oscar de la Renta, and this particular collection had loads of color in it, so of course the answer to that question is yes. That being said, I actually think she is working this. It is delicate in a way that suits her.
Just a data point to continue to prove that Laura Carmichael is much prettier than Lady Edith. Which she has said people say to her all the time and it's kind of a back-handled compliment, so I guess I should note instead that Downton Abbey works overtime to dim Laura Carmichael's natural good looks. Also: good earrings.
This bag is BEYOND. I love it.
And, while I wish she could have borrowed some lipstick from Lady Mary, I think this dress is lovely on her. Well played, Ladies of Downton.
And now the time has come to look at everything else Michelle Dockery wore this weekend. This is charming.
As is this. It's VERY Sexy English Governess Circa Downton Abbey, which...well, yes. That works for her.
