(Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) I think I would like to unfug this. The blouse is heavy enough that I think it negates the need for any extra flares at the bottom of the skirt, but this style in general is swallowing her up. ## Lupita Nyong'o in Chanel ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682816-1731901786.jpg) Lupita Nyong'o at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) Chanel even makes gold accents underwhelming. Also, I cannot stop seeing how it's pinching her chest skin. It looks painful. ## Nicole Kidman in Celine ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184684819-1731901802.jpg) Nicole Kidman at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) She'd look swell with a chin-length bob. I'm glad to see her out of Balenciaga, also, even if it's temporary. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184687804-1731901818.jpg) US-Australian actress Nicole Kidman arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) Thank you for the dash of sparkle, Nic. ## Demi Moore in Givenchy ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184688142-1731901827.jpg) US actress Demi Moore arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) I sincerely thought, when I saw this photo in its small thumbnail size, that she was Nina Dobrev. ## Barry Keoghan in D&G ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185318647-1731901947.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Barry Keoghan arrives at the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Steve Granitz/FilmMagic) Barry is giving us a very composed take on a pirate shirt. He's a genteel, formal marauder. ## Jude Law ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682511-1731901724.jpg) Jude Law at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) Whereas Jude looks like he made his necker out of a cloth napkin. ## Paul Mescal in Gucci ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682902-1731901794.jpg) Irish actor Paul Mescal arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) That ALSO has a bit of the pirate about it. The laces, you see. Is Dread Pirate Roberts an aesthetic choice now? ## Julia Louis-Dreyfus ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682601-1731901740.jpg) Julia Louis-Dreyfus at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) You know things are bad when I'm thinking wistfully of Selina Meyer. JLD is keeping it sexy, though. ## Colman Domingo in D&G ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184678929-1731901698.jpg) Colman Domingo at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) Robbie Williams had on a similar type of jacket, but less cropped. I guess the bonus breast is a trend to watch? ## Pam Anderson in Armani ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184678983-1731901706.jpg) Canadian-US actress Pamela Anderson arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) Is this perhaps the MOST boring thing Armani has ever done? I applaud her no-makeup trend, and I'm sure it's daunting to think of wearing something super glitzy without the face paint -- I know I would be nervous! -- but there's got to be middle ground. ## Zooey Deschanel ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184678995-1731901714.jpg) US actress and singer Zooey Deschanel arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) On-brand! ## Maria Bakalova ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682531-1731901733.jpg) Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) Oooh, this is REALLY neat. I almost want to apologize to Pammy for putting them next to each other in this slideshow, because this dress makes hers look like an even bigger bummer. ## Jennifer Hudson in Saiid Kobeisy ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682652-1731901748.jpg) US singeractress Jennifer Hudson arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) This isn't clicking for me. Maybe it's the asymmetry? I think this is a case where it would have looked better with the fun stuff on both sides. ## Julianne Moore in Proenza Schouler ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185318607-1731901939.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Julianne Moore attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) I feel you, Julianne. I don't love it either. The infinity sign winding around her chest is so distracting. ## Kate Winslet in Erdem ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682766-1731901764.jpg) British actress Kate Winslet arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) Well, it's a break from her usual Kate Winslet Gown, anyway. ## Anna Kendrick in Monique Lhuillier ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682805-1731901779.jpg) Anna Kendrick at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) I do like this, but might've deepened the lipstick. ## Lily-Rose Depp in Chanel 2018 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184682802-1731901772.jpg) Lily-Rose Depp at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) This feels like it was on a mood board for Keira Knightley, but she's not on the circuit right now and didn't care to be, so they plugged in Lily-Rose instead. ## Maika Monroe in Stella McCartney ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185314698-1731901875.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Maika Monroe attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Hmm. Same note, perhaps. Also, while I don't require people to smile on the red carpet, there is "fierce" and then there is "I hate it here," and she's veering toward the latter. I CANNOT imagine how hard it would be to do this for a living; I can't even arrange my face well in family photos. ## Felicity Jones ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185312223-1731901867.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Felicity Jones attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Perfectly meh. I am moved to look back into her archive and see if I've ever been fully captivated by anything she's worn. ## Marlee Matlin ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185302558-1731901843.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Marlee Matlin attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Can we run her over to a tailor real quick for those hems? ## Margaret Qualley in Chanel 2022 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184688157-1731901835.jpg) US actress Margaret Qualley arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) FREE MARGARET. ## Sharon Stone ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185316046-1731901892.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Sharon Stone attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) I want to like this, but it the torso not baggy? ## Guy Pearce ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185316694-1731901914.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Guy Pearce attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Is this secretly brown? Oh well. It's nice to see Guy, even if I also think this might look better with dark trousers. ## Monica Barbaro in Celine ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184685186-1731901810.jpg) US actress Monica Barbaro arrives for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 15th Annual Governors Awards at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024\. (Photo by VALERIE MACON / AFP) (Photo by VALERIE MACON/AFP via Getty Images) Boring. And whether or not that could actually sit higher, I WANT it to; the top seems so micro compared with the rest. ## Elizabeth Olsen in Givenchy ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185311109-1731901851.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Elizabeth Olsen attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) This is interesting, at least. And I like seeing Givenchy creep back into the conversation. ## Daniel Craig ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2184678856-1731902346.jpg) Daniel Craig at the 15th Governors Awards held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Ovation Hollywood on November 17, 2024 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gilbert Flores/Variety via Getty Images) His new era really makes me laugh. This isn't even that weird, but the sunglasses alone are a chuckle for me. He looks like he JUST discovered pot. ## Jesse Eisenberg ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185311926-1731901860.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Jesse Eisenberg attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) No notes. ## Hugh Grant ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185314707-1731901884.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Hugh Grant attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) I assume this does not end in a grass skirt. I kind of wish it did, though. ## Giancarlo Esposito ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185316481-1731901899.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Giancarlo Esposito attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) "Captain Finger Guns, at your service." ## Adrien Brody ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185316683-1731901907.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Adrien Brody attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) He always looks like he wants to listen sympathetically because you've just told him that a member of your family is ill. ## Kieran Culkin ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185318413-1731901929.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Kieran Culkin attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) He looks like his pet diamond snake has settled around his shoulders. ## Michelle Rodriguez in Valdrin Sahiti ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185318684-1731901955.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Michelle Rodriguez attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Sure! Actually this is interesting and fairly polished for her. ## Nicholas Hoult ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185322005-1731901963.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Nicholas Hoult attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Smoldering. ## Connie Nielsen ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/11/GettyImages-2185317040-1731901921.jpg) HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 17: Connie Nielsen attends the 2024 Governors Awards at Dolby Theatre on November 17, 2024 in Hollywood, California. (Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images) Connie has been gladiatoring all across the globe, so she MUST be tired, which is exactly the right time to slap on a lively lipstick and let it carry the day.
