This reminds me of things everybody wore to the Golden Globes. It's pretty, and it's effective, but it's also a flashback to an olden tyme of lo these many weeks ago when things were simpler and Jeremy Lin only had like six hundred Twitter followers and Whitney Houston was maybe going to be on X-Factor. Sniff. Well, suddenly that innocent bygone era seems like a nice place to live.

Specifically, it evokes Jayma Mays' gown for me, except that Jayma's had a lace back and an anal tail, and Carrie's has... a faux-bra back and perhaps ALSO an anal tail. They're not even the same designer, either. I prefer Carrie's -- the back doesn't bother me as much.

She changed into this for her duet with Tony Bennett, promoting his album, Tony Bennett Sings More Stuff With These Kids Today. It's really pretty, but I wish it went straight down instead of doing the fishtail flare, which sounds like it should also be the name of a dance on American Bandstand.

This is nice. But what if it were purple? Or red? Care to join in on the chorus of this song? You clearly know the words by now.

This doesn't do as much for me -- it's resoundingly okay -- but I do love these two together. I especially enjoy that he flagrantly uses his marriage to her to try and woo contestants on The Voice onto his team. Because it suggests that he's proud of her, which I always like to see in a celeb couple. Be stoked about each other.

This is a giant wah-waaaah moment. She is so undeniably good-looking, and the styling here is so undeniably lackluster. I actually can't wrap my head around the dress because I can't divorce it from how bummed out the rest of her seems to be. Cheer up, kid! You're young, you have a great bod, and I hear Footloose was actually really charming and I might watch it on the plane home. Life is good.
