In addition to being, like, Ecru Swan, the wings meet right around her crotch, in kind of a vaginal shape. Maybe because 'feathers' rhymes with 'nethers.' Also, I'm over it.

I DO sort of like this part, though -- the explosion of orange. It makes me think of Fawkes the Phoenix from Harry Potter. And also orange juice, and sunburn.

Another sort of filmy skirt that lets her upper thighs have aspirations. But overall, this look -- to me -- is TOTALLY reminiscent of The Baroness from "The Sound of Music." She completely would've worn something this filmy to complete her seduction of Captain Von Trapp. TO NO AVAIL. SIT DOWN, BARONESS SCHRAEDER.

However, STAND UP, FLORENCE WELCH. I really would've liked to see this in full, because I might love it on her -- it's funky without being gimmicky, slinky without being all, "LOOK AT MY GROIN." Sigh. What could have been, if she'd worn this on the red carpet. Then again, she had to compete with Gaga in the womb... although then again AGAIN, she didn't KNOW Gaga would be in utero. So. She should've worn this on the red carpet, is what I'm concluding.

Even with all the crazy fringe, I sort of like this -- to me, again, this is Florence Welch having personality without also having birds supping on her mammaries. It should never come to that. NEVER.

[Grammy Awards Fug or Fab Carpet: Florence WelchI'm sure this will upset a lot of people, because Florence Welch is a Beloved Indie-Type Musical Person Who Is Only Recently Becoming Mainstream So Stop Harshing Her Buzz, Evil Fug Girls. But the thing is, she is not Bjork, and so I am not quite yet ready to give her a pass for a caftanic ode to avian mating rituals. In fact -- and this is not entirely Florence's fault -- I'd like to issue a moratorium on swans. Can we JUST do a different motif, please, soon?
