I am torn on this. I think the dress ITSELF is not great, and looks almost haphazard. It could stand to lose the sleeve, and from the back, it's like a duvet set:
But I have to give her props for finding the right wig to wear with it (unless she actually cut her hair the day of the Grammys), because the spiky short 'do gives this some sass. And the stripes are good, and she's basically doing that weird thing where she actually makes me stop and think about something I would otherwise probably dismiss. I conclude... the dress IS not good, but that she did a good job WITH it.
This is TREMENDOUSLY '80s. Hugely. It's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" '80s. I think possibly ONLY an eighteen-year old could do it.
I could ENTIRELY do without this. It's like her luggage got lost.
"Sweetie, please wear the dress Grandma made you out of your old blankey. You LOVED that blankey -- you named him Blankey -- and she worked SO HARD. Everyone will understand."
