And her actual bio on her site mentions something about being asked to sing on some other band's track, but being voted out of the project due to "band politics," which... is a hilarious thing to put on your own resume. Her website is also amazing, and includes this: “'Whether she attains that elevated status or not, sheʼs an innovative work in progress,' according to respected rock journalist, Lonn Friend." I don't even know. It must SUCK trying to break into the mainstream in any industry as competitive as this, I have to say. The whole thing is a marvel but I will heavily, heavily abridge it for you: "Long surpassing the use of voice as a method of communication... (Photo by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images) Mike Posner was nominated for a song called "I Took A Pill In Ibiza," and... he seemed like a f'ing exhausting individual. When he and Blackbear (his current collaborator I guess) got to Giuliana, they affected this thing where one of them refused to speak to her directly and would simply whisper things in the other's ear -- audibly, but still, the other person repeated them, which made for a stilted viewing experience. Doubly so because he was basically also hitting on Giuliana and she looked like she wanted to FULLY hit him back. I've almost never sided with G, but I did in that moment. They they sat on the floor and took selfies and Snapchatted. That makes me laugh a little, but only if you're not HUGELY ANNOYING TO OTHER HUMANS.
