(Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images) This was Alicia's first outfit of the night, and I think her best. But she did seem very very tentative walking out in it, to the point where it really evoked that one commercial in which a woman coming out to present an award can barely move and is taking forever to get to the mic. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202164904-1580100234.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: Host Alicia Keys speaks onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. Keith Urban, left, and Cynthia Erivo present the award for best pop solo performance at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 She didn't walk the red carpet. I wish she had. That's a really fun, loud, gigantic grin of a gown. ## Camila Cabello ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202174147-1580100241.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: Camila Cabello performs at the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by John Shearer/Getty Images for The Recording Academy) It was a LITTLE discordant to sing a love song about -- and to -- her father in something that evoked a bridal nightie. It ALSO feels a little Kacey Musgraves to me. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202187133-1580100288.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: Camila Cabello performs onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images for The Recording Academy ) This was fun -- it was part of the "Body Electric" performance, which she was chosen to open as a tribute to the fact that last year she was the first Latin woman ever to open the Grammys (per the chyron). ## Common ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1196648400-1580100220.jpg) US rapper Common performs during the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 26, 2020, in Los Angeles. (Photo by Robyn Beck / AFP) (Photo by ROBYN BECK/AFP via Getty Images) He came out during that number as well, looking GREAT. ## Misty Copeland ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202187552-1580100295.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: Misty Copeland performs onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images) And Misty Copeland's dance card remains super full. She was fabulous, as usual. The whole number paid tribute to art in many forms -- straight-up musicianship among them -- and I loved it and wish they'd closed the night that way. ## Greta Gerwig ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202174916-1580100248.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: Greta Gerwig speaks onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images for The Recording Academy ) This was unexpected. I also feel like she just grabbed a suit she already owned and threw it on ten minutes ago. ## Portia de Rossi, Ellen DeGeneres ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202179259-1580100255.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: (L-R) Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres attends the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. A good showing for the DeFamily. ## John Legend ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202182559-1580100268.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: John Legend performs onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for The Recording Academy) He looked the slickest of the DJ Khaled performing group (which won moments later). ## HER ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202186033-1580100275.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: H.E.R. performs onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. Would we know Steven without them? Truly, he is the "Debra Messing from *Smash*" of musicians. ## Billy Ray Cyrus, Lil Nas X ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344fu-1580100348.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344fu) Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 This performance was a delight. A bunch of people sang snippers of "Old Town Road," including BTS, although I wish they'd gotten to do more throughout the night since they're such a phenomenon. Anyway, the song is CATCHY AS HELL and the happiness of everyone who performed it was sweet. I also love LNX's shiny clothes. ## Lil Nas X with BTS ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/GettyImages-1202195584-1580149835.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 26: (Top) Lil Nas X (C) performs with Jin, V, (Bottom) SUGA, Jimin, RM, J-Hope and Jungkook of BTS onstage during the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center on January 26, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images) See? This was VERY charming. (For some reason, we didn't get a snap of them on the red carpet; they were all in soothing neutrals.) ## Lil Nas X ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344fp-1580100341.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344fp) Lil Nas X 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 He changed into this at the end. It's like Lil Nas Vader. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539848h-1580100406.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539848h) Lil Nas X accepts the award for best music video for "Old Town Road (Official Movie)" at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 And I guess that would make this all-white ensemble Lil Nas Leia? ## Issa Rae in Zuhair Murad ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344ev-1580100334.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344ev) Issa Rae 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 She looks phenomenal. ## Demi Lovato ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344fw-1580100356.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344fw) Demi Lovato 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 She sang an intensely personal song about her struggles, and had to start over because she was so emotional. She then DEMOLISHED it. I thought she was fantastic and it was really a searing song. ## Ava DuVernay ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344gu-1580100364.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344gu) Ava DuVernay 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 "Hello, I'm Ava DuVernay, and I'm quietly fabulous." ## Bonnie Raitt ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344jl-1580100377.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344jl) Bonnie Raitt 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 I can't wait until I go full Raitt with my own hair. (The silver streak, I mean.) ## Trombone Shorty and Preservation Hall ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344ju-1580100384.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344ju) Trombone Shorty and Preservation Hall 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 These guys did a tribute to New Orleans jazz. They, and Rosalia (I don't have a picture for some reason?), were nice breaths of fresh musical air -- the Grammys SHOULD be about making sure people remember there are so many other genres out there. ## Yola ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539848am-1580100392.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539848am) Yola performs at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 She sang on the non-televised portion, I think? Or did I miss this? I love her dress. ## Tyler the Creator ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539969am-1580100420.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539969am) Tyler, the Creator performs at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 When I saw him in close-up, I genuinely thought it was Miss J Alexander in a Dumb and Dumber wig. ## Gwen in Dolce & Gabbana ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539848bk-1580100399.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539848bk) Gwen Stefani appears on stage to perform "Nobody But You" at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 A big old SIGH to her choice of designer. She and Blake also sang a thoroughly average love duet, and sounded thoroughly off-key, and I guarantee you this was chosen in the hopes of wedding-esque headlines. ## FKA Twigs and Usher ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539969bb-1580100428.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539969bb) FKA Twigs, Usher. Usher, left, and FKA Twigs perform during a Prince tribute at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 They did the Prince tribute. Neither one wore purple? ## Ariana Grande ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539969bv-1580100436.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539969bv) Ariana Grande, second right, performs a medley at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 This happened, and I BELIEVE I had my TV on and was positioned in front of it, but.... I cannot recall a word of it? Ariana Grande might be the most popular musical artist today of whose songs I cannot recall a single note. ## Lizzo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10539969f-1580100451.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Sayles/Invision/AP/Shutterstock (10539969f) Lizzo plays the flute during her performance at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, in Los Angeles 62nd Annual Grammy Awards - Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 SASHA FLUTE! ## Lizzo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/01/shutterstock_editorial_10532344a-1580100303.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (10532344a) Lizzo 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, Show, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Jan 2020 Wearing Christian Siriano, Custom Glorious.
