This whole outfit is so funny to me. It's like she was trying to arrive wearing a giant balloon that popped on the way there. (Here is the runway shot.) I am honestly surprised she chose this version and not the one that straps to her actual boobs.

But at least she had fun with it. She looks more chipper in this than she ever did in any of her weird see-through pants.

Jimmy Jam -- producer, member of Morris Day and the Time, and co-author of some of Janet Jackson's seminal works -- presented a Grammy, which happened to be the one that Beyonce won and which made her the show's most decorated female or male singer ever. They planned it well (she also won for her collab with Megan Thee Stallion and I'm sure the organizers wanted her to break the record when she could stand up there by herself -- and be handed it by a legend). He looks very dapper.

I like the velvet flourish. The Velvet Flourish should be the title of something. Like a modern Scarlet Pimpernel.

Brittany Howard

Speaking of people who had fun: She clearly enjoyed the heck out of the red carpet. She wore this during the show, too, for which she performed "You'll Never Walk Alone" accompanied by Chris Martin. (I love that song and she did it so well, but she ALSO won earlier for her own work and I wish she'd gotten to belt out one of those also.) Anyway, I suspect that's why she went with a black ensemble.

Like I said: having fun, and continuing her streak of cool eyewear.
