Chappell's stylist said she's loved this forever, but I'd love to know more about whether they chose it for a particular REASON or just for the wild aesthetics. (Fun fact: Beyonce wore it contemporaneously in Elle.) This is how it looked on the runway; I think Chappell's addition of boots is fun and on-brand for her.

This is basically the opposite -- fresh off the runway, and monochrome, and much poofier than she usually picks. I loathe those shoes and kinda think the effect could have been achieved better with thigh-high combat boots. But she has VERY questionable taste, so this for me is a hit.

Yes, this piece is called VAMPIRE HOUSE, and they made it expressly for him. I assume he was just trying to be quirky, but like... is he reading the room? He's in a city where a bunch of houses are now just charred black piles of rubble. If this was meant to... somehow... acknowledge that, it did not play. And if it wasn't, well, it still didn't really play.

She got the Global Impact Award, and this was certainly all about impact. The accessories are impressive. If you're gonna get in bed with D&G, you'd do it for something this major, although I can't help wishing she'd aimed for more global impact by wearing a lesser known international designer. Maybe the headpiece has a story we haven't seen yet.
