This kind of reminds me of her music. It's catchy enough at times if I catch it on the radio but not something I'm rushing out to acquire.

Her makeup looks nice, though -- it's just enough, I think. I also am pleased she put a necklace with that, as I think a lot of people would have left it bare, and the punch of sparkle helps quite a bit. She HERSELF looks pretty. It's just the dress that loses the plot a tiny bit for me as we scroll down.

And then the back. Sometimes I think that's cool, and sometimes I think it's Vegas. And then I wonder if the two are mutually exclusive.

Okay. So. I don't hate the idea of this dress, honestly. I DO think the skirt isn't entirely convinced of its own worth -- honestly, some of the stitching on this might have a self-esteem problem -- but this is really tanked for me by the hair and makeup. Although I could live with the hair if she had different lipstick. It just... that approach is not wash-and-wear, as they say. You can't match it with everything. She got away with that look at the Grammys because it suited the gown, but this one needs something more dramatic.

Speaking of dramatic. 1) Does she not HAVE any other lipstick? Should we send her a Sephora card? 2) That is some seriously distracting cleavage. It's almost Kardashian-like in its desire to escape the nest.
