I actually kind of like this EXCEPT I think the shoes are fully bonkers -- and I know that Bowie had a platform phase, so I GET it, but I worry that she's going to fall on her face, wearing these things.

I thought the open to this -- where a variety of iconic Bowie makeup looks were projected onto Gaga's face --- was actually REALLY cool. And I like that it was just Gaga singing.

I actually have no complaints with anything Gaga WORE during this event. It all felt right to me -- god knows, she looks a quick change, and she's not going to goof up the costumes for a salute to someone who means that much to her. I just wish she hadn't sung 12 songs. Maybe three! Maybe just "Heroes!" MAYBE GAGA NEEDS TO START A BOWIE COVER BAND. She could do ALL the songs she touched on Monday night, in their entirety. I would TOTALLY go to that show.

I love when Gaga just shows off her piano and vocal skills, and I worry the Bowie tribute got a little....manic? But isn't it nice to know she's never EVER going to half-ass anything?
