This dress's performance is as poor as Argylle's was at the box office this weekend. ZING. There was not a pose she hit where it didn't make her look slouchy, and I don't put that on her; it's just the weird looseness and overlong sleeves of the gown itself that are draggung her down. It looks like a ghillie suit for camouflaging herself in a New Year's Eve parade. And the hip slits are inexplicable.

This is beautiful work, and feels on-theme for the Grammys, though I do wish the waist cane up over her navel. For increased chicness.

Turns out Halle Bailey WAS pregnant and had a baby at some point... prior to this... props to her for executing a mostly secret pregnancy during several public appearances. Wow. Anyway, this is QUITE the relaunch into the public eye. She looks great.

I am 85 percent in love with this, and 15 percent annoyed by the black straps, and the fact that one side of this dress is not successfully wrangling her. It's very unlike her.

Sweeney Todd lost the Grammy to Some Like It Hot. I think this dress lost out to itself, when it wasn't turned into a full gown. A floor-length column would have worked better, methinks.
