I don't mean to hate on tattoos, but the one Riri has on her ribcage has ALWAYS bothered me because every time it catches my eye I think it's dirt. Or a weird shadow. And so it harshes the buzz of whatever dress crosses it. I feel like I can't tell how this REALLY lands, because there's all that stuff on there.

The skirt is full of wondeful workmanship. That orange IS basically a sports bra, though, or a bib. A sports bib? Honestly, I would have liked to see her in a whole slinky orange sequined thing. Or with that skirt but with the top going all the way into it. Still, she gets points for making it look fun to wear even in its existing state, given that I do not believe very many people actually WOULD find this fun to wear.

I really do wish it WAS a sports bra, though. I think this dress needs its essence understood from all angles. Bib-on-a-string is not super compelling.

This, however, IS compelling. I basically cannot do a post on Rihanna that doesn't include me gushing over a close-up of her face. Also, the better look at this top is only reinforcing my wish that the dress included more of it.
