Kristen Stewart

Let's get down to it: This is Zuhair Murad, who also does all of Jennifer Lopez's tour costumes. That seems like important information somehow. If the underskirt had gone all the way down, this might've won for me, but also, I'm really sick of typing that sentence. I am tired about having wishes and thoughts about people's underskirts. The rest of this seems to be beautifully made and quite cheerful given a) the wearer, and b) her circumstances.

Kristen Stewart

And yes, she DID smile. I actually keep getting distracted by her face looking slightly different -- it's because when she lightened her hair, she lightened her brows to match, and when you monkey with your eyebrows it does change your face. It's not necessarily BAD, at all, but it's something i had to get used to.

Kristen Stewart

I just liked how fierce she looked in this photo. This is a glimpse at how she's REALLY going to look -- like, when she's 27, and she's lost some of her coltishness, and she's JUST all angles and attitude.

I didn't like the hair from this angle. It's too lumpy. Also, someone should've told her to take off that necklace that's trapped under there, because it doesn't work at all with this. Maybe it's a coded message to Rob. Maybe he gave it to her and said, "Baby, as long as we have this necklace in our lives, our love will be pure and we will never spend more than two months at a time lying on the floor in a pile of wet Kleenexes crying until our souls are dry." In that case, I get why she kept it on.

Also: Maybe don't do the severely pulled-back hair if it's going to expose the hair-dye-stains on your scalp.

She's also bringing sexy back. By which I mean, she has brought a sexy back. not that she's bringing back The Sexy.

Kristen Stewart, Kirsten Dunst, Garrett Hedlund

And hey! Kirsten Dunst looks glamorous and glorious, and Garrett Hedlund looks clean and cute and somehow pulls off that facial hair in a way that Kellan Lutz does not. Way to go, y'all. I'm not mad at any of you. I mean, yeah, okay, Kristen, why'd you have to go and do Rob like that? But you're 22 and you're learning and I think you'll both end up just fine. NOBODY IS DYING HERE. Perspective.

Gutsily Played, Kristen Stewart; Well Played, Kirsten Dunst
On the night of the VMAs, when Elizabeth Reaser kindly stepped in to play her role, Kristen Stewart was across the continent in Toronto promoting On The Road -- her first non-paparazzi public appearance since The Twipocalypse. And she went big. Remember when Ryan and Reese got divorced, and everyone painted Abbie Cornish as the interloper, and she started going out places frocked like a nun? I applaud Kristen -- who has, in by belief unjustly, taken the brunt of the heat for the misdeed with Rupert Saunders while he is inexplicably largely left alone -- for stepping onto this red carpet in something bold and brassy and sexy, instead of shuffling out in Puritan garb. It basically says, "I am not broken." And while, yes, she certainly has her share of culpability, I find the media's insistence on covering this with a "wanton tart seduces poor married man" aura to be unfair at best. So good for you, K.Stew, for refusing to curl up in a ball. Do I wish you'd done it without also showing off your undergarments? Yes. But as Mick Jagger once said, you can't always get what you want.
