# Hailey Bieber on Elle, April 2021

Honestly, I think Dylan Farrow would have been a more interesting cover choice. I understand she's already in the spotlight with Allen v. Farrow, and maybe she wouldn't want the heat of a magazine cover as well, but. This cover feels a bit like, "Tyra said to look FIERCE," which I guess could tie in with the "dealing with online hate" aspect of the story, except that it's merely a drop of the piece.

This is by far the most interesting shot of the bunch, and I honestly think it's because you aren't looking at her face. There's so much going on visually. Very smart of the photographer to get one that renders her lack of expression largely moot.

She reminds me of Piper Perabo in this one.

She seems to vastly prefer this angle of her face. Also, the lighting had me tricked for a second into thinking she's wearing shiny gold leggings on one leg.

I'm not really sure what any of these are meant to project, though. To me this says, "Hang on, I just need you to pop my shoulder back in."

That's a good underwear ad, at least, although technically she's wearing a bikini bottom.

She just seems so SAD. Seriously, Biebs, if you are what she's thinking about, go give her a hug and maybe watch some Ted Lasso.
