I love this cover. I love what they did with colors -- the sky behind her, how it ties to her dress, which itself is tied to the masthead hue. I love the composition. I love how peaceful it feels, and she looks. It's a little low energy, but I think that's partly the idea -- we know Awkwafina as a spark plug, so to speak, and the profile is about painting the other side of that portrait.

This is cool, too. This is all very much about presenting her in ways we haven't really seen her before.

And this feels like it's about her baring herself. If she's wearing any makeup, it's perfunctory.

I like that jacket. I wish we could see more of it? This has a very "felt cute, might delete" contemplative-selfie feel to it.

I do kind of want to know what the directives were for this. "Get me... a blanket... NO, a gigantic microfiber cloth."

That says "FUR FREE FUR," and because it's Stella, you know it's true -- she has always pushed against fur in fashion. Adding the puppy in here is a noteworthy message on that front, and also, it's just cute. It's a freaking PUPPY. It's always going to be a slam-dunk.
