Prince Harry and Meghan Duchess of Sussex tour of Australia - 18 Oct 2018
Their Royal Highnesses will fly to Melbourne where the day will begin with a short walk to Government House, meeting members of the public along the way in the grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, before attending an official Reception at Government House. A diverse group of young Victorian leaders and community members will attend the Reception, including Queen's Young Leader Hunter Johnson, founder of The Man Cave mental health initiative. The Duke and Duchess will also meet representatives from Aubot, Farmwall and F1 in Schools
I just loved this snap; she's so cute and they're so coordinated. (It also looks like someone made a joke that Meghan really appreciated and Harry hasn't quite figured out yet.) While we appreciate these two Very Attractive People in Love, let's also let Informative Caption wash over us: "Their Royal Highnesses [flew] to Melbourne where the day [began] with a short walk to Government House, meeting members of the public along the way in the grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, before attending an official Reception at Government House. I know from comments on an earlier post that one of you has a child at this reception, and at least one of you went out for the walk-about, and OBVIOUSLY we want to hear ALL ABOUT IT PLEASE.

This color is so great on -- well, I was going to say Meghan, but it's good on Harry, too. It looks more and less royal blue depending on the shot, but regardless: I love a navy or navy-adjacent day dress.

Did I pull this photo because it ALMOST looks like she's going to gently pat his royal bum? I didn't not. (It's just the way her arm is swinging as they walk into the Government House, which is VERY FANCY. I just love a fancy building. I also like that its official website points out that their ballroom is bigger than the one at Buckingham Palace, which I hope was rubbed in Harry's face. TELL YOUR GRANDMA THAT, KID.)

This is the best look at this dress from the front that I have as of right this very moment. Meghan really likes what I like to call A Flappy Bit of Interest at the front of her outfits.

I like it here -- I think it keeps this dress interesting in movement.

Britain's Prince Harry (C-L), the Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan (R), the Duchess of Sussex, shake hands with the public during the meet the people walk in Melbourne, Australia, 18 October 2018. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on a three-week tour of Australia, New Zealand, Tonga, and Fiji and will be in Sydney on 20 October to launch the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 sport competition. As the couple arrived in Australia, they announced that the Duchess of Sussex is pregnant and they are expecting a child next spring.

They did a quick walkabout, as I mentioned, which I think was cut short because they got stuck in traffic behind a truck accident on the way from the airport. (Royals really ARE just like us.) This trench is going to get a lot of work over the next two weeks, I think. (I love a good trench. I have a rather boring but servicable Banana Republic one that's served me well over the years.)

I pull this mostly so you could see that Gucci bag, but also: (a) I appreciate how her face looks like, "THANK YOU for opening this door for me!!" and (b) the door-opener looks sort of like Peyton Manning to me and I've decided this is what he's doing with his off-time.

Just wanted to give you another look at this trench. Like Meghan, I ALSO push my trench sleeve up if it's not actively cold/rainy (because I'm short, and it makes my proportions look better) and I enjoy that we have that in common.

Decent turnout for these two, eh? I keep imagining Harry getting all kinds of wistful texts from Wills, like, "I remember Australia. God, it's great. Everyone was so friendly. Kate wore this great white eyelet dress when we were there. Well. Charlotte just knocked over her chemistry set and the curtains are on fire so I gotta run." (All of Kate's texts to Meghan are, I feel like, "I'm so happy for you that you're not barfing!")
