Per our photo peeps at Getty: "Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh meet guests at the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the summer on May 22, 2012 in London, England. Around 8,000 guests attended the garden party hosted by the Queen, as temperatures in the capital soared. At least three garden parties are hosted by the Queen every summer at Buckingham Palace, as a way of rewarding and recognizing public services." All I know is, this party looks AWESOME. I believe Heather's parents went to one of these - or similar - in the 1980s, and the pictures are tremendous. Everyone looked fantastic and dapper.

LOOK AT ALL THESE TOP HATS. And, of course, the Queen looks like an Easter Egg, as usual. That is not snarkiness. I love her in those pastels.

I MEAN SERIOUSLY.

This was at the Garden Party on the 22nd. She is a delight lately. She seems so much happier since Wills and Kate put rings on it. I feel like the subtext is like, "FINALLY WE DID SOMETHING RIGHT."

I feel like the inner monologue for all those guests is, "KATE KATE KATE KATE I WANT TO TALK TO KATE IS MY FASCINATOR FALLING OFF?"

And, yes, you HAVE seen that dress before.

The hat is new. I like the shape of it -- the delicious details under the brim make me happy -- but it seems to be made out of the same material that you'd find on a woven men's tie in 1981. So color me neutral on it.

Seriously. The royals are LOVING this Jubilee shit. Charles looks downright jubilant, in fact. Although for a moment, I thought he was making Camilla carry his umbrella as well as her own and was like, "...they have gotten into the G&Ts early this time."
