This is very appropriate for this party. She DOES look haunted, or -- as noted in the headline -- as if perhaps she is the one DOING the haunting. Although in that case, she'd probably be wearing white and drifting through an attic barefoot. Whereas this just gives off the aura of being the accountant for a very, very untalented and now-defunt circus, and now she wanders the moors murmuring, "Where have all the fire-breathers gone?"

When I first saw this, I thought the coat was part of the outfit -- like, attached to it, as if it were the sleeves -- and it was such a confusing time in my life. I could not make sense of it unless she'd dropped some acid and Pepto tablets at the same time.

I am always astonished to remember that she is not related to Kiernan Shipka. I also think... listen, kids, have fun with whatever brings you joy. She's SUPER young. But if I were a parent, I'd feel like this was saddling my child with a WHOLE LOT that she didn't need.
