I love that those sequins almost look like a black and white pattern -- though that may be a trick of the light. Regardless: very pretty. I appreciate that Jenny Packham makes dresses that would be appropriate for a wide range of bridal ages. (Don't get me wrong: if you're 65 and you want to get married in a giant, strapless meringue, you go with your meringue. I just appreciate knowing there are options for when Jon Hamm and I run off to the South of France.)

This is the one I'm going to wear when I'm transported back into time and through a hole in the veil between the worlds of reality and fiction and I find myself in some kind of alt-universe *Dangerous Liasions* where we meet the Marquise de Merteuil on her wedding day, before she becomes the bitter and awesome Head Bitch in Charge she so desperately wanted to be. That's the second *Dangerous Liaisons* ref of the day, if you're keeping count.

Although here, this hair, plus her cardigan, and that facial expression is kind of CRAZY BRIDE ON A RAMPAGE. It's interesting to take a look at Badgley's bridal collection, though, given that this is where they really made it big originally, at least in terms of public name recognition. I once worked on a reality TV show about Dallas (you never saw it), and one of our cast members had been engaged three times (she broke off all three of them) and she kept all her gowns. And they were like a time capsule of wedding trends. One was GIANT Princess Diana style, one was slinky Caroline Bessette-Kennedy in Narciso Rodriguez, and the last was a Badgley, which was the hottest thing in town at the time.
