The dropped waist on this is a LITTLE too Disney princess for me, which is a bummer, because the slickery houndstooth fabric is so nifty.
The ladies likely to buy this dress feel, to me, much older than the length of that hemline.
Better? It would also work for a dark and gloomy long program set to, like, Sam Smith. It's what I think his songs make his heart feel like when he sings them.
I enjoy this as a visual but have NO idea who would realistically buy it.
This is very maternity. Did you see that Jaime King is pregnant again, by the way? It is KILLING ME that Hart of Dixie almost certainly won't exist ever again because she has NEVER looked more spectacular than when she was pregnant and playing Lemon.
I am having this weird reaction where I don't like this and yet I also think it's fantastic.
That version sort of works. The other attempt at the bodice was more unexpected, I think? But also looked like a sports bra. So this is an okay compromise.
I'll take this one, too. For... Olivia Munn? I think of her mostly because I saw her at a Herrera show one year. I asked her about working on The Newsroom, and she basically tsked and almost rolled her eyes and was like, "No, the NEW one to discuss is my casting in the new Steven Soderbergh," which turned out to be Magic Mike. It was... an odd interview.
This pattern is now going to be all I can see when I close my eyes. SO MUCH OF IT HERE.
THAT fabric is so, so cool, though. Just from an art perspective, it's exquisitely rendered.
I wish I had been wearing this at Fashion Week. It would only have worked with a chauffeur-driven car to haul my cold bare legs around town, but since even having the outfit itself is ALREADY fantasy...
WHY DID I NOT HAVE THAT SCARF ON WHEN IT WAS BELOW-ZERO WINDCHILL.
A houndstooth poncho also wouldn't have gone amiss... which is what I mistakenly thought this was until I regained my senses and it's actually a coat. Well, whatever. Coats are always handy.
This dress was sneezed upon by something very expensive.
Rossum, Rossum, who's got the Rossum.
This dress looks like something was amputated from it.
This is both very pretty, and possibly a sign of an ant infestation.
It's like she has to toss in some frumpage, because half her clientele is above 80.
What IS the frequency, Kenneth?
Kenneth is like, "Dude, don't ask me, I'm way baked right now."
And Michael Stipe is like, "KENNETH. YOU HAD ONE JOB."
And Kenneth is like, "I never understood the frequency."
And Michael Stipe is all, "IT'S YOUR BENZADRINE, DUMBASS."
And Kenneth is like, "How the hell was I supposed to know that's what you were saying? Enunciate, dude."
And Richard said, "Withdrawal in disgust is not the same as apathy," and Kenneth goes, "WHO THE F IS RICHARD ANYWAY AND WHY IS HE IN THIS SONG."
"You said that irony was the shackles of youth," Stipe then says sadly, shaking his head. Kenneth is like, "THAT'S THE LINE I UNDERSTOOD. DON'T REPEAT THE ONE I KNEW."
"You wore our expectations like an armored suit," Stipe accuses Kenneth, while Richard just sits there, with nothing else to do, because no one even remembers he exists.
"LEONARD BERNSTEIN," Kenneth shouts, and it breaks the tension and then everyone does a round of tequila shots.
And then that skirt came out and I was happy.
