I genuinely think of you lined that sucker, Kate would be all over that. She's great in navy blue, and the cut is one she tends to favor, AND it 's the illusion of straplessness without sacrificing the modesty that she's expected to show.
She has chosen Packham separates before -- as part of this HIDEOUS HIDEOUS OUTFIT that is seriously so awful to me -- and don't think this skirt is a huge reach. With some tailoring.
I don't need to tell you that this ALSO only makes it this high because Kate would adapt it. By cutting a vag hole in the front of the skirt, clearly.
Kate likes this sort of shape, and she likes darker colors with a little sparkle. I could see it. It's a BIT flash, but it's not impossible.
She also likes neutrals, so I decided she'd give this at least a second look.
I WISH. The shape is very Kate but I doubt she'd ever go with the Tequila Sunrise color scheme. Which is a shame. It would be SO UNEXPECTED in a good way.
Just kidding.
Kate does poorly with cocktail wear. She could line this with black and call it an LBD and it'd be better than most.
That's a cut she might employ, because of its relative modesty.
Another skirt to consider. She doesn't wear these hues, but basically, almost everything else would be crazy on her.
Nothing screams Kate Middleton like visible nipple.
If she ever went strapless, this would be a top contender.
Unless this got there first.
We could call that British Racing Green, sort of... maybe... right?
Obviously we're at the part where she would NEVER with any of the rest. Although she'd look nice in this. It doesn't really show any cleavage even though it's a v-cut.
I WISH William would come home with this coat as her push present.
Or this one. Just for giggles. She could leave the hospital in it, clutching the baby to its crunchy shiny texture. TOTALLY practical.
Maybe for when Kate gets older and seems to be more of a professional lady of the world. This is totally a Letizia thing.
Pippa would order this in Kate's name and then sneak into KP and steal it off the rack.
Maybe she could pick this for a celebration of some anniversary of the Holland Park peacocks. Assuming they're even still there. Somebody throw that party as an excuse to see if she goes all thematic.
Again, can't see her wearing chocolate unless it's to a Cadbury benefit.
This color would be terrible on her, I think.
And she'd obviously never wear the Beach Maxi version either.
Not going to happen.
NOOOOPE.
MAYBE on a chilly day in Hell? [Also, check out the video I took of this dress walking past me; you can HEAR the sound the paillettes make as it swooshes by.]
NEXT.
Not even if you lined it.
I did actually have a brief moment of wondering if she'd do that with a lining, but... no. I just don't think she's ever going to do cream satin. It's too bridal.
Also, the visible nipple shields on this are an interesting touch (and that's for sure what they are; I noticed it at the show too). Did this model just have a modesty clause, randomly, or do we think that was a deliberate styling choice?
And that one would be too low-cut, although I think the basic pattern of the top, she'd do with a totally different dress.
Again... too bridal. Kate is not going to go down that street. She's already had that iconic moment; this would be too much of a comedown.
