If you didn't just start absently humming "Blank Space," I worry that you maybe just woke up from a coma. In which case, WELCOME BACK and I'm glad you're feeling better. Isn't this cute?
I assume the people at Michael Kors sent this one over to Kensington Palace for Kate already, right?
STRIPES. I love stripes. I love stripes AND dots. Just take my money, Michael Kors. The big complaint about him, sometimes, is that he's too commercial -- and, it's implied, that means he's insufficiently artistic. BASIC. And I get that, but I am a person whose own personal tastes run STRONG toward Classic Preppy with a leaning toward Crazy Old Lady (the overlap in the Venn diagram between Classic Preppy and Crazy Old Lady is bigger than you'd think) and ergo I love him and I don't care. Sometimes you just want options (even for fantasy shopping) that seem REASONABLE.
This all feels sort of Related to J Crew to me. (I miss the J Crew of like three years ago. The I'm Wearing Seventy Five Pieces of Jewelry J Crew. The J Crew that was kind of Crazy Old Lady).
I am pretty sure Taylor Swift owns this already. Sincerely. FROM J Crew, maybe. I salute you ladies who rock the high-waisted bikini bottom. (I feel like they make me personally look weird.)
Coats, cigarette pants, animal prints flats. Take my money.
I'll pass on these shoes, though. I like having more options for flats but formal Tevas need not happen.
Taylor is going to look great wearing this coming slouching out of Starbucks in March.
Ugh, this CUTE. I can see this on Michelle Obama, even.
I might be unmoved by the blue ribbon aspect of this? But the cut is very cute.
I do enjoy a red bag.
SOMEONE is going to wear this. Emma Stone? Right?
For those occasions where you really wish your rugby shirt was MORE FORMAL.
Back on track. I almost wonder if this might suit the new demure Angelina Jolie -- the shape of it is much like the Ralph & Russo she wore recently, and we know she never wears color anymore.
THIS COAT IS MY SOULMATE.
Debra Messing at a polo event. Right? (She LOVES Kors.)
Oh, hey, Taylor! Listen, can I ask you a question about Ed Sheeran? Come on over and let's chat.
Yes.
Also yes (that's the crazy old lady in me).
All these track pants feel like Michael got sucked into watching a bunch of old Y-3 shows on YouTube late one night.
Can you OD on lace? (I think you can.)
What you don't know is that the other side of this is TOPLESS.
Why are there so many great coats in the world and so few places for me to wear them? Although I guess if I'm spending Fantasy Money, I might as well come up with Fantasy Coat Opportunities.
I was going to say that I wish those boots were higher on the leg, but then I realized, if you're not a model, they probably ARE.
SO CUTE. Kerry Washington will rock this next year, right?
These also feel really J Crew to me. J Crew seems to think I can pull off track pants without looking like I just got back from the gym and I REALLY CAN'T.
I guess whenever the mysterious "transeason" arrives, we're all going to be in dots.
This is slouchily appealing, perhaps?
I'm giving this one to Emmy Rossum. Don't ask me why. I just am.
Taylor Swift places another order.
I love two of these three things, the three things being stripes, polka dots, and shower shoes.
This feels a little half-baked. It might be just that it's SO SHORT.
But I LOVE this.
And this.
Another option for Ladylike Angelina Jolie.
IS this a J Crew catalog?
This is lovely, although perhaps Awkward of Length if you're not careful. (You'll be careful.)
This flagrant attempt to woo Rooney Mara from Calvin Klein will hopefully cause a great feud in the world of American Sportswear that gets really juicy and underhanded. That'll be fun.
