Obviously that's more leg than the MO usually flashes but this dress is so pretty that maybe she won't resist. Or maybe he'll just make her a slightly different one.

One of my favorite Michelle Obama gowns of all time was Jason Wu, so it's entirely feasible she'd dial up this one at some point. It's so cool. Basically, we need the Obamas to throw a boatload of state dinners, presumably as apologies to the world for how freaking WEIRD this election cycle has been.

A lighter version.

I cannot let go of the neon flowers. I could see her wearing this blouse with a flared skirt.

Both Sasha AND Malia are probably rooting for this one, as they surely want to raid MO's closet.

Michelle doesn't tend toward cleavage, but this would look awfully pretty on her.

This could be interesting, right?

Just pop over the Atlantic and visit the new PM and her husband, Michelle! This would be great.

She would slay in this. Also, orange is happening next spring. In case it wasn't already happening for you the way it is for Dylan, who would paint himself orange if he could.

That would work, maybe, if the skirt flared out more in the vein of a full ballgown.

MO looks fab in yellow.

There was a photo of this dress in full, but the light and the drama was just better in this one of the model ascending stairs. Michelle would look SO GOOD in this.

She'd clearly have to rejigger the bodice, but I love the stripes.

The drama of the arm capes would be divine. You wouldn't see a slit that high, but that's okay. It won't hurt the gown to sew up that sucker a little bit.

WILL she wear this? No. Would it be SO FUN? YES.

I'm torn on this one, because I think it's embiggening on this model. But it'd surely cross FLOTUS's mind, at least. She loves a day dress.

I mean, she DOES have great shoulders.

Michelle Obama is also unafraid of patterns, as we know, so the dress underneath the coat might be great on her. Even WITH the coat, actually, I am on board.

I'll be honest, I mostly just wanted to show this to you. SOMEONE should wear it. Michelle likely won't. Maybe Malia can.

She'd at least CONSIDER this, right?

The piping on this seems very, very flattering.

Orange and blue are apparently the colors of my life right now.

Admittedly, I mostly want this for me. It's not very Michelle Obama. But if you made the cut of the skirt a bit flippier and put a blouse with it, maybe, that could fit the bill. Or she could just give this a shot. Or send it to Kate Middleton as a parting gift. It would be great on her.

Very artsy for Jenny Packham. I always think of her as lace or sequins.

This cut is also more Middleton than Michelle, but that doesn't mean Michelle wouldn't look good in it.

Again: SHOULDERS.

Yes yes yes yes.

This is only in here for the skirt. MO is unafraid of separates.

Shoulders, Part III.

Maybe?

Yes, right? It's basically a coat-dress. Order one up, MO.

I feel like Michelle would wear the skirt portion with a plain black top, cut differently.

This is admittedly a reach. It's for if she's feeling funky, I guess.

The bodice here isn't RAGINGLY flattering on the model, so Michelle might want to be cautious, but that GIGANTIC skirt is fabulous. I would love to see her swanning around in it.

She should wear this entire outfit just the way it is.
HA. No. This is just here for the coat. It's a GREAT COAT.

This bodice isn't right for Michelle Obama, but the fabric could be. I mean, this is the closest she's ever going to come to Marchesa, right?
