It's still cute, though. We're ending on a high note. I'm not trying to be a crank for the sake of it -- Oscar is one of my favorite shows every season, because it's just a reliable soak in some serious elegance. And most of this collection lacked that for me -- there wasn't as much imagination or wonder, and at times it felt like you could convince me this was another line entirely. I'm hoping it's just a speed bump as they transition from one era to the next. [High Fugshion: Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015 at New York Fashion WeekI'm having a hard time writing about this, because it's the first Oscar de la Renta show without the man himself at the helm. I wanted so badly to love what his hand-picked successor did, and I also don't know enough about the process to say with certainty that Mr. dlR hadn't already started this ball rolling before his sad passing, so for the latter reason I feel guilty saying what I'm about to: yikes.
