Stunning. Rooney Mara loves black and white -- put her in this WITH the gloves.
This line does those graceful skirt folds so well. Not here to as stunning effect as last season's red gown, but still visually arresting even if the overall outfit itself isn't as dreamy.
That hip volume is... a challenge.
I know none of these designers EXPECT anyone to wear it unlined, but this gown feels too much like somebody bent to pressure.
Too much shoulder-fold for me, but: SO SHINY.
That almost feels more Naeem Khan to me? Not a bad thing. It might be lovely on someone once the whole nudity hurdle is cleared.
COME ON, ANGELINA. COME ON. DO IT. DOOOO IT.
And this, unfortunately, feels like Elie Saab meets Disney.
Ohhh, that must have looked SO COOL in motion.
Unfug that up in a few obvious ways, and I think it could be truly stunning.
Emmys. I'm not saying it'll happen, but it SHOULD.
Well, that color is phenomenal, but the pieces of flair aren't really hitting for me. FIX IT, FUG NATION.
Whereas this doesn't look as FUN to wear because it's heavier and less ethereal.
I could see Angie in that. The top is not unlike a type of bodice she wore from, yes, Elie Saab. This line and Saab and Zuhair Murad seem to have a lot of mind meld. (I don't mean that as a judgment. I think in fashion that happens a lot and they seem to be aiming at a similar aesthetic/customer.)
Sarah Jessica Parker, THIS is your Met Ball gown. I don't even care if it's off-theme, or if this designer is not even technically invited. THIS IS IT.
I wish I liked this better, but I think it's admirable construction at least.
Nicole Kidman at the Melbourne Cup. DO IT.
I have never really been on Team Hathaway except for a) that time she broke up with the alleged crook and had to promote Get Smart with a smile, and b) that small window where her short haircut worked. At this point, I don't think I am going to be on Team Hathaway, but if she wore this to her next premiere, it would be a REALLY INTRIGUING start. Because I'd have to give her credit for bringing it.
OMG, underneath that envelope might be a pretty gown.
Coco Rocha. Period.
And, another lovely wedding gown to consider. Now we have three options for our Fug Nation Group Wedding the next time the Rapture is scheduled to come.
