Hollywood Film Awards 2019

Charlize in Alexander McQueen

This is pretty cool on her, and also: Is Charlize shaking off the shackles of Dior, right in time for awards season proper? That would be fun.

Renée Zellweger

Sure! Everyone loves a fun lining AND a black and white cookie, and this dress brings you both.

Pharrell Williams

Truly, from the waist down it's like he's just running out to pick up some sandwiches.

Jennifer Garner in Stella McCartney

A bit boring? Yes. Something she will never be sorry she wore? Also yes.

Finn Wittrock

I get it, but the black-on-black always feels a little stark to me.

Jessie Buckley

I swear to God, doesn't Saoirse wear this in the Little Women trailer?

Nicole Kidman in Loewe

Ah, yes. Nicole Kidman has a tendency to dress like the ghost that's haunting your house sometimes, and I see spooky season is not over.

Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors

This is snazzy; she looks like she's in a nighttime drama where she tosses off a lot of good lines before snapping a compact mirror shut and tossing her hair.

Shia LaBeouf

I don't know if I love a double-breasted look on Shia.

This is very slinky and well-done. The shoe choice, and the bracelets, are also SO good.

Laura Dern in Markarian

I don't love this on her. It feels a little bit too Fancy Nightgown?

Kaitlyn Dever in Monique Lhuillier

JEEZ, the 80s are SO BACK. (She looks adorable in this and also like she's playing the preppy princess in an 80s teen movie set at a Christmas dance.)

Q'orianka Kilcher

She looks lovely and also apparently she's going to be in a TV show called YELLOWSTONE with Kevin Costner and Wes Bentley, which is in its THIRD SEASON?! I have never heard of this show. WHERE AM I? (It's on "the Paramount Network," but still, Kevin Costner is famous enough that I feel like I should have known this???)

Tantoo Cardinal

This seems like a good place for me to note that I really like Stumptown. (She's on it.)

Antonio Banderas, Stella Banderas

Stella is Antonio's and Melanie Griffith's daughter. She really looks like Melanie to me. (This dress is very pretty on her.)

Park So-dam

She's in Parasite, which I haven't seen yet. This is a little bit too big on her, though the color is good.

Taron Egerton

This wins this slideshow's Double-Breasted Contest.

Sienna Miller in Cong Tri

For the best that she made an edit to how high that slit originally was.
