# I'm Sorry, There's a "Nimrods" AND an "Idiots" Right Now?

First, Jenna Fischer -- who is in this film, and whose husband Lee Kirk wrote and directed it -- looks great here and I'm so happy to see her healthy and working after having breast cancer a few years ago. (Fun fact: Kirk is her second husband; her first was James Gunn, who eventually became a Marvel bigwig director and just took over DC Comics.) (She met him because she was friends with his brother, Sean, aka Kirk from *Gilmore Girls*.)(Also, I learned in the course of this post that her wedding was officiated by Jeff Probst, whom they met at the Emmys?!? Never let it be said that awards shows aren't important.)(As are parentheticals.)

Second: We JUST discussed [the current movie *Idiots*](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/kiernan-shipka-maybe-needs-better-scripts-08-2026/), a road-trip film starring Mason Thames of the live-action *How To Train Your Dragon*, and now we have *Nimrods*, a road-trip film starring Mason Thames of the live-action *How To Train Your Dragon*? What are the odds. (This one is a film about kids driving to L.A. under the pretense of opening for Green Day on New Year's Eve.) Maybe this is going to be part of a road-trip series in his career. Next up: *Morons*, then *Nincompoops*, *Oafs*, *Clods*, and *Chowderheads*, the last of which obviously either starts or ends in Boston, and all of them helmed and written by completely different and unaffiliated people. He MUST be the only common denominator. Can't wait.
