If I'm reading the story correctly, Iman had injured her arm and only had use of one of them in this photo shoot, which makes the cover choice even cooler. The color choices are also nifty, because obviously though it's the January issue, it's on newsstands around the holidays. It has a festive vibe without dripping in it.
The contacts are freaking me out here a LITTLE? Something about the angle and the eyes actually make her look less like Iman to me. I'm not sure I'd have immediately recognized her if I saw this photo randomly out of context.
Am I going to go to EVEN DEEPER HELL for saying that I also think her face/eyes in THIS photo are too flat? This reads like she was arranging her outfit without realizing a photo was being taken. I think this one from the piece is better.
