The dotted ruffles don't quite work for me; I keep thinking she has an apron on -- which, I guess as the Baker's Wife, might feel on-point? ## Patina Miller (Witch) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229cr-1657587504.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229cr) Patina Miller 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance She looks SUPERB. ## Alysia Velez (Rapunzel) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229i-1657587404.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229i) Alysia Velez 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance This is her first Broadway show, which... what a thrilling start. And how's this for a modern bio: "She previously starred in TikTok’s musical, *For You, Paige*." ## Gavin Creel (Cinderella's prince/Wolf) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229aq-1657587441.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229aq) Gavin Creel 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance His [list of credits is BANANAS](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gavin%5FCreel?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). I have no idea what the shirt refers to, unless it's a tribute to Milky White, the cow in the show. Which is not an actual cow... ## Kennedy Kanagawa (Milky White) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229bo-1657593185.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229bo) Kennedy Kanagawa 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance ... but a puppet operated by this man. [This is a great article about the craft of the puppets in the show, and it was not behind a paywall for me so hopefully it won't be for you either?](https://www.nytimes.com/2022/06/29/theater/into-the-woods-cow-milky-white.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) ## Annie Golden (Cinderella’s Mother/Granny/Giant) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229k-1657587413.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229k) Annie Golden 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance You might remember her as Norma on Orange Is The New Black -- although her bio says she was Sondheim's original Squeaky Fromme in "Assassins," which is cool. I like her impudent expression here. ## Brooke Ishibashi (Florinda) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229s-1657587423.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229s) Brooke Ishibashi 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance This is ALSO her debut. Her bra looks like an electrical circuit. ## Diane Phelan (all-purpose understudy) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229ad-1657587432.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229ad) Diane Phelan 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance This is so pretty. I wish they gave Tonys for understudies. (Do they? Is there a secret Tony I don't know about?) She has to learn Cinderella, Lucinda, Rapunzel, and Cinderella's mother. FOUR parts, and be ready at a moment's notice to be any of them. I know that this kind of work in the trenches is part and parcel of working your way up to a lead, but that doesn't make it any less astonishing to me. ## Joshua Henry (Rapunzel's prince) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229bd-1657587458.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229bd) Joshua Henry 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance This is VERY fun. ## Julia Lester (Red Riding Hood) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229bg-1657587467.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229bg) Julia Lester 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance She's apparently in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and it's her first Broadway foray. She looks totally thrilled, just as you might imagine. ## Adrienne Warren ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229cy-1657587396.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229cy) Adrienne Warren 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance I keep checking to make sure she isn't wearing two walking boots (as in the orthopedic device, not regular boots made for walking). The rest is great though. ## Sutton Foster ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229dw-1657587543.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229dw) Sutton Foster 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance Oooh, yes, I love that. ## Gaten Matarazzo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229am-1657587449.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229am) Gaten Matarazzo 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance He is great -- honestly, I would follow almost the entire cast of Stranger Things into whatever adventure they want, even if/when it's dumb -- but we have got to stop looking like we hemmed our clothes by chewing on them. ## Katrina Lenk ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229bm-1657587476.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229bm) Katrina Lenk 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance She's in Company, so I assume this is her salute to more Sondheim on her show's dark night. She looks like she's going to a farmer's market in the Hamptons, a thing I base solely on my imaginings of the Hamptons because I have never actually been. ## LaChanze ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229bp-1657587485.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229bp) LaChanze 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance Fab. ## Lilla Crawford ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229bx-1657587494.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229bx) Lilla Crawford 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance I still remember her from when she launched the last big Annie revival. Her dress is GREAT. (She's not in this; apparently she recurs in the new Pretty Little Liars series?!? Good for her. I hope she gets to lie.) ## Sarah Drew ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229dn-1657587532.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229dn) Sarsh Drew 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance I love this whole ensemble, and also really think she and Jesse Williams need to stop pretending in the press that anyone wants a Jackson and April show/return. Because no. I JUST rewatched a good chunk of their episodes, and absolutely no. ## Taye Diggs ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229ea-1657587553.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Photo Image Press/Shutterstock (13026229ea) Taye Diggs 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night, New York, USA - 10 Jul 2022 Revival of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods' Broadway Opening Night Performance Absolutely YES, though. [Into The Woods is Back on BroadwayWith a lot of familiar faces.![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2022/07/shutterstock_editorial_13026229cv-1657587513.jpg)](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/into-the-woods-is-back-on-broadway-07-2022/)
