# Issa Rae Did Some Outfit Changes at the CFDAs

We saw [Issa's red-carpet outfit already](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/pants-at-the-cfdas/cfda-fashion-awards-arrivals-new-york-usa-04-jun-2018-17?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (and if you want to learn more about it, by the way, [the designer spoke to *Vogue*](https://www.vogue.com/article/issa-rae-cfda-dress-pyer-moss?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)) but what we didn't know then was how many times she'd change, or that she'd specifically tasked her stylist with putting her in the work of black designers. It's a nifty way to use and share her platform; I just wish we had more shots of her inside the venue so we could see each of them, and I don't have designer credits for all of them, either, which is another pity and a bit of a missed conclusion to a neat idea.

The green suit above is Sergio Hudson, and I think it's delightful. I can't tell the true color, because [in other shots it looks more lime than seafoam](https://www.instagram.com/p/Bjo00DLHvX1/?taken-by=issarae&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), but it's still a good fit on her and VERY visually striking -- a chic choice for a night where she's fashion's emcee.

This has a similar filmy feel to the blue one she first wore, although it looks like it might need a major hoik. If you go to[ the fourth and fifth photos in this collection from her Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/Bjo00DLHvX1/?taken-by=issarae&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), you'll see she also wore a sexy lace-up red outfit, which is not for the faint of heart. It looks more chic than the description sounds, but... I mean, it is also still basically a giant high-top sneaker.

But that one is quite sensational -- simple and well-made with that glorious purple streak. I find myself wishing she'd thrown on something else and saved this for a major event, just so we could see more of it. And I still wish I knew who made it. I want to give credit where it's due, Issa! LET ME LAVISH SOME LOVE. (Edit!
