One entire LeBron James ago -- so, 35 years -- NBC delivered us sarcastic Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty, and Rue McClanahan at their finest, and Betty White at her most delightfully sunny and dingy. *The Golden Girls* ran for seven seasons and 18o episodes, and yet for whatever reason the scene I always always link to is this one from the season 1 finale (I thought it was the pilot because of what they're saying at the end, but it was a flashback, TRICKED AGAIN BY MY OWN LAZINESS):

I cannot get through this without laughing, and neither could Bea and Rue. I'm dying to know if Betty White had a trick for keeping a straight face, or if she's just blessed with supreme muscular control.
