For the record, I did not coin "Nerd Prom." It's a long-standing nickname for the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where the folks who make their living covering the government get to mingle with members of it, plus whatever celebrities decide to make the trip. It wasn't tremendously A-list this year, for whatever reason? Met prep, general ennui? It felt a bit mid. So, I'm leading off instead with this protest dress in honor of Evan Gershkovich, the *Wall Street Journal* reporter currently in jail in Russia. His family attended, and I'm sure that was extremely emotional to represent their missing son and his work, while God knows what is happening to him over there. Get him home, Joe.
