There was a red carpet for this event, but interestingly, only people I hadn't heard of -- and one or two athletes, like Todd Gurley -- walked it. Every other person I recognized just went in the back, or whatever, and then frolicked around the lawns of this venue and presumably tried to get within sniffing distance of Rihanna. It really *was* picturesque, at least. ([Supposedly guests were shuttled over from a UCLA parking lot, and Beyonce arrived two full hours after Jay-Z did, if you are into those logistics](https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/hip-hop/8549073/jay-z-beyonce-rihanna-diddy-exude-black-excellence-at-2020-roc-nation-pre-grammys-brunch?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io).)
