Okay, just ignore the purple veil for a moment. (And the whole D&G of it all.) This sequined dress, on its own, is DISHY! Like a purple strapless Sexy Tootsie experience. Or, I guess more accurately, a purple Jessica Rabbit. (In looking up that reference to make sure I was right, I came across an ad for a "Sexy Jessica Rabbit costume," which is surely something you could use to illustrate the concept of "redundant.")

Here's a shot where you can get a better grasp of the scale of this outfit. It's VERY dramatic, but she's the star of the show, after all.

When I saw this shot, I thought the veil was a cape, and -- as you know -- I am very pro-cape, and I think I wish it WAS a cape, but it is not. It looks very elegant in this scenario, though.

But behold! It's actually a veil. I kind of like the IDEA of us wearing more Fashion Veils -- it's definitely a new wrinkle in accessorizing and it's definitely dramatic. I am not sure it totally works without being slightly...corny, or something? I'm interested to hear your thoughts, however.

She IS having fun with it, though -- and whoever did her hair and makeup killed it, because she looks facially gorgeous.
